Join us as a Testing Manager, Digital Delivery Team (12 months)

As a Testing Manager, you’ll be developing and implementing test strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure high-quality software products within the Wealth Chief Digital Information Office (CDIO) Digital Delivery Team
Lead and mentor a team of software testers, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure effective test planning, execution, reporting and support career development
This role is being offered on a 12 month basis

What you’ll do

We’ll look to you to produce detailed test plans, including scope, objectives, resources, and schedules for overall digital delivery (DD) quality automation (QA) team. You will collaborate with digital programme transformation (DPT) and Crealogix (CLX) stakeholders and work with DPT program test manager to align testing efforts with DPT program goals.

You’ll also be:

Identifying opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies. This includes working with cross functional teams, replacing last leg of Backbase (BB) testers, resolving issues for in-housing of BB QA environments along with implementing Mobile Automation framework, changes in ways of working (WoW) to have the testing covered in DPT within single sprint
Oversee the execution of DPT and CLX test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios along with ensuring thorough testing coverage and timely defect detection
Evaluating, selecting, and implementing test automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage
Tracking and managing defects through their lifecycle, and enhance the regression pack based upon the retrospective reviews
Allocating testing resources effectively across all squads of DPT, manage workloads, and ensure that team members have the necessary skills and training
Providing regular status updates and test reports to stakeholders, including defect metrics, test progress, and risk assessments

The skills you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). You’ll also need prior leadership experience, including managing a team of testers or QA engineers along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

In addition, you’ll demonstrate:

Extensive experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies
Proficiency in test management tools and test automation frameworks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
Knowledge of Appium, Sauce Labs, SaaS and Tosca framework
Knowledge of agile and waterfall development methodologies
Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Manager) is an advantage
