Technical Project Manager (Building Mgmt. Software)
London 3 days per week, the rest remote
FTC – initially 9 months with the scope for extensions
£80,000.00 + £6K car allowance

Our client is hiring an experienced Technical Project Manager to work within the businesses BIM Project. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering technical projects, specifically related to buildings systems. The right candidate will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible, and in line with the project’s objectives. Forming a core part of the Workplace Digital Squad, working alongside Internal Technical and Operations Teams as well as external service partners and suppliers. The Project Manager will be responsible for a number of projects which are aimed at implementing the software. This role will report to the Data & Technology Change Portfolio Director.

A major part of this role will include coordination of resources and detailed information to ensure projects run to time, cost and quality so attention to detail is a must.

Principle accountabilities:

* Managing technical aspects of the project and overseeing the exchange of technical kit from one supplier to another.
* Prepare for and chair Project Board Meetings
* Coordinating Internal teams and external 3rd party suppliers
* Determine and define project scope and objectives
* Define success criteria, associated KPIs and tracking methods
* Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
* Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
* Track project costs in order to meet budget
* Develop and manage Project schedules and work plan
* Provide Project updates on a consistent basis
* Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
* Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
* Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
* Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications:

* 5-10 years of technical project management experience (knowledge of Power Metering Systems an advantage).
* Building System knowledge is an advantage
* Building System and MI Reporting Project delivery experience
* Technical Systems delivery experience
* Proven ability to solve problems creatively
* Strong interpersonal skills and resourceful
* Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
* Comfortable working in a changing environment.
* Experience of managing projects in a matrix management structure
* Strong communication / stakeholder management skills with experience of working with Senior Managers / Directors.
* Confident nature with proven experience of leading and chairing meetings.
* Strong working knowledge of Excel / PowerPoint.
