Strategy Consulting – Global Markets – Associate

Our client is a globally recognised strategy firm, looking to build its banking business. Their London team comprises a small group of highly talented consultants, mostly from industry backgrounds across FS.
This specific team is focused on the major investment banks and looks at their market share, strategy, performance and data and analytics strategies.
You will work closely with a Senior Manager to deliver projects in this space, working with ‘Heads of’ across banking. This would suit someone who, perhaps, has been siloed in a bank to a specific area of sales, trading or strategy or a business manager/COO type that is looking to branch out to working with clients in a more entrepreneurial environment. It may also appeal to a more operational/risk focused consultant that wishes to be more front office/markets focused. The latter person will need good markets knowledge either from a previous role or their deep personal interest.
We are looking for the following traits:
1. Good sales and trading / markets knowledge
2. Strong analytical skills in working with data (we are not looking for data analysts or data modellers, though some data work would be an advantage)
3. Good presentation skills – ability to present to senior audiences over time or with coaching
4. A thirst to learn and grow with the team
5. Curiousity and a want to get to the bottom of a problem
6. Humour and good natured – the HM is passionate about treating others with compassion and respect
Office policy – 3/4 days in office and 1/2 days from home (this may change depending on the project)
