Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Contract: OUTSIDE IR35
Project:
Working with one of our largest renewable energy clients based across the UK. Our client is looking for a consultant with strong software engineering and some data modelling experience to join an existing team that are working on this data model that has been coded in Perl and azure.
Responsibilities:
• Using Perl codebase to work through development and remediations
• Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
• The existing team carry out code reviews to enhance performance, therefore communication is key
• Work with Enterprise Architects to build and enhance solutions
• Responsible to document techniques/approaches, process flow diagrams and data models
• Working in an Agile environment and working towards Scrum
• Determine methods and procedures for upcoming projects
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience using coding language Perl
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with languages such as Python is beneficial
• Experience managing Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of real time streaming technologies
• Experience with Mathematical modelling would be desired
• Undergraduate degree in Computer science or Engineering
Any Rust experience would be beneficial
