Senior Security Windows Engineer m f d – Ref 10036

Description de la mission

For our client based in Cologne we are looking for a freelance Windows/ Security Engineer (m/f/d).

Tasks:

* Windows Server OS Management (all OS Versions starting W2k8 to W2k22) but also Engineering and Product Evolution or Integration in terms of Windows Server Management
* Level 3 + Level 4 windows server management (mainly Operations + Engineering and Development mix)
* High class server OS troubleshooting
* Optimize server management in private and public cloud environments
* Ensure proper server lifecycle management for ~40k of windows instances distributed all over the world
* Increase Security and Server compliancy ratio by following industry security policies and guidelines ( server hardening)
* Focus on managed public Cloud hosting evolution powered by Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS
* Create further global evolution for server provisioning and engineering based on dev-ops tools like Puppet, Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Git, Artifactory etc. ( Optional )
* Evaluate new Windows Server OS Versions and Images in contribution with our Engineering Squad which is part of the Product Team
* Create further automation to ensure base or core processes to support Server Management will become more efficient ( powered mainly by PowerShell, Optional: Ruby, Python )
* Develop Code ( Puppet Enterprise ) to optimize Server lifecycle Management on a global scale
* Server rehosting, Server refresh, Server In-place upgrade procedures
* GPO Management for Server Security Compliance and Standardization
* Deliver proper Security Patch Management Support powered via WSUS and Puppet Enterprise

Skills:

* Strong Microsoft Windows Server oriented background and focus
* DevOps approach should be known
* Base knowledge about Infrastructure as Code Toolset like Puppet, Terraform, Chef, Ansible
* Advanced Troubleshooting and reverse Engineering skills for any kind of Windows OS ( W2k8 to W2k22 )
* Knowledge about server migration and relocation scenarios especially in supporting mass industrialized hosting platform evacuation ( automation, scripting )
* Very familiar with GOP Management
* Good knowledge about windows server security and compliancy aspects
* Good knowledge about scripting especially PowerShell, (Ruby optional )
* Knowledge about Patch Management technologies like WSUS
* Familiar with SW Packaging solutions to deploy SW packages within a distributed environment
* Good understanding about standard tools needed to maintain and utilize a windows server instance ( Backup Agents, Microsoft SCOM Monitoring Agents, Security Agents like Encryption, Antivirus, Ransomware etc. )
* Familiar with Source Code Management like Git Enterprise.
