Senior FIX Trading Support Analyst – Investment Management

Senior FIX/Trading Systems Support Analyst sought by leading investment management company based in the city of London.

**Inside Ir35 – 3 days a week onsite**

The role:
Trading Facing Role
Support Daily IT activities for all Application technology required for two busy Trading Desks (Cash & Algo/Program Trading)
On-going support of Cash & Electronic Desk Trading systems (Inforeach TMS, Algorithmic Trading, Smart Order Router) and manage and implement new requirements and carry out regular upgrades
Support of Electronic Global FIX gateway /infrastructure and connections to exchanges and client connections.
Setup, certification and Configuration of new FIX clients to enable them to route to various trading desks globally
Work with the traders on identifying and resolving trading issues, order routing, electronic orders, position keeping, commission calculation and p & l.
Work on additional Business projects running alongside normal support activities.
Provide documentation on all customized scripting solutions and infrastructure.
Conduct technical diagnosis of operational problems on development and production environments.
Work closely with external vendors to implement solutions
Work closely with internal support organizations (Infrastructure, Networks, End User Technology) and other business units to monitor the status of ongoing technology issues and expedite resolution.

Skills required:

Solid working experience with FIX protocol (5 years min) and FIX Gateway Infrastructure
Solid experience of Equity Trading Platforms and Electronic Trading (5 Years min)
Experience with: Electronic Trading Client Connectivity (FIX) and FIX Certification; Algorithmic interface design; and analyzing message formats and output
Understand FIX business requirements from Institutional clients/brokers, discuss and organize physical connectivity
Some scripting experience
SQL Knowledge to develop queries to extract data from SQL Databases
Some development skills (Java & Python) desirable
5+ years of Securities and trading industry. Experience in Equities , Portfolio Trading and/or Algorithmic Trading
Strong Knowledge of European Market Structure, execution venues and regulation (MIFID II)
Strong Vendor Relationship Management background
Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
Proficient in Equity Brokerage Trading and Middle/Back Office Operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
