Description:
Our leading global financial service client a seeking a senior developer to join their application delivery team to help develop, integrate and on-board customers to their software/hardware platform. They will help contribute to a number of important initiatives covering diverse areas like their ultra-low-latency trade plant, infrastructure as code strategy as well as delivering efficient, scalable application delivery solutions for their cloud like hosting platform services.
Primary Responsibilities:
– Design & develop significant pieces of new functionality in our ADC management platform, written in Python & Java
– Automate infrastructure provision & control to underpin a drive to provide environments on demand to our developer customers
– Collaboration with customers and partners to implement integrations with our tooling
– Drive migration and adoption through automation and collaboration with operations teams
– Deploy API gateway technology to provide security, stability and transparency
Skills Required:
– Programming experience in Python and/or Java
– Scripting experience in Python, or in Perl/bash
– A firm understanding of O/S and networking concepts: Linux/unix system administration, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL and other related protocols – Sound verbal communication and written documentation skills
– Strong motivation to automate infrastructure and improve agility Skills Desired
– Python Twisted/async python, Java, Javascript/Angular, or other programming languages
– CI/CD tools such as GIT & Jenkins
– Managing ADC/load-balancer infrastructure (eg. F5 LTM, A10, Netscaler), and working knowledge of their config and APIs (eg. F5’s iControl/iRules or A10 axAPI/aflex)
– Deploying and using API gateway technologies and creating or using REST APIs
