Python Developer – Gen AI Project – Contract

clients, and employees, and SQL queries. In this role, you’ll play a key role building a Gen AI system that facilitates seamless communication between users and databases, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in data retrieval and analysis.

Responsibilities include:
Lead the development of systems with a specific emphasis on AI/ML applications, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and communication layers across hybrid architectures spanning multiple public clouds and private data centers.
Engineer global-scale backends using microservices or distributed systems, primarily in Python (experience in other languages is advantageous).
Collaborate on PDF parsing and/or optical character recognition (OCR) projects.
Construct data pipelines and contribute to large-scale enterprise systems.
Create robust, reusable code focusing on core engineering principles, including building libraries and frameworks.
Experience Required:
Strong Python fluency
Django
Experience with GenAI and Machine Learning technologies
Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker and Kubernetes (preferred but not mandatory).
Commercial experience in managing systems at scale, handling extensive datasets across multiple regions.
Ability to advocate for technology strategy vision and developed solutions within a large matrixed organization.
Strong communication skills to facilitate ideation and conflict management.
Proficiency in discussing complex technical issues with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including peers and product owners.
This is a hybrid role but flexible – 1-2 days in the office preferred in London to collaborate with the team.

The role is outside IR35 and rate range is circa £500-£700 dependent on experience.
