Onsite Application Support Engineer
Are you a tech-savvy professional looking for an exciting opportunity in application support? We’re seeking a dedicated Application Support Engineer to work onsite at our client’s premises in Strasbourg.
This role offers the chance to tackle challenging technical problems, be part of a dynamic environment, and deliver exceptional support while ensuring system reliability.
What you’ll do:
Own the full support process—manage incidents end-to-end and ensure swift resolutions.
Identify solutions or sustainable workarounds to restore application functionality.
Collaborate with the client to create problem reports or change requests and participate in incident reviews.
Share knowledge—contribute to Knowledge Management (KM) to enhance operational efficiency.
Provide 24/7 support through 8-hour shifts with some flexibility for overtime, ensuring client services remain uninterrupted.
Be on standby when needed to address critical issues.
Must-have technical skills:
Java programming expertise.
Spring Boot for microservices.
Distributed Systems experience.
gRPC knowledge.
Essential non-technical skills:
ITIL framework knowledge.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Ability to absorb new information quickly and perform well under pressure.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and support teammates.
A customer-focused attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering service excellence.
Requirements:
EU nationality and willingness to work onsite in Strasbourg.
Security clearance eligibility for working on sensitive projects.
