Our organization is seeking Network support engineers to oversee the IT infrastructure within our global supply chain partner environment. In this capacity, you will collaborate with operations and supply chain stakeholders, product owners, and fellow network and security engineers to establish and uphold crucial IT infrastructure at our partner manufacturing sites.
Your Responsibilities:
Participate in various business meetings to gather technical requirements, propose architectural designs, and review quotations/proposals from our vendors/partners
Conduct on-site visits to factory sites in APAC (approximately 20% to 30% of the time) for equipment setup and maintenance.
Collaborate with partners/vendors to deploy infrastructure and deliver operational support.
Implement robust monitoring to ensure uptime and device health using suitable infrastructure monitoring tools. Promptly respond to alarms and error conditions and rectify faults.
Provide on-site standby support during scheduled and emergency (unplanned) maintenance activities (e.g., power maintenance, network/server/system upgrades, outages).
Streamline operations by leveraging scripting languages to reduce support efforts and minimize human error.
Execute software and firmware upgrades and ensure firmware is up-to-date with the latest stable version, free from security vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain essential operational and support documentation (e.g., runbooks, playbooks, asset inventory system).
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in general IT infrastructure support, encompassing network management, Unix/Windows systems, and data security.
Profound understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, and DHCP.
Hands-on experience with firewall and load balancer deployment, configuration, and support.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in detecting service-impacting issues, precise triaging, effective partner communication, swift application of urgent workarounds, service restoration, and post-incident follow-up.
Differentiators:
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python/BASH) for task automation.
Experience with DHCP option82 deployment.
Expertise in data center cabling (1G/10G/25G/40G/100G/200G Fiber and UTP cabling).
Knowledge of network security and adherence to ISO 27001 industrial best practices.
Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness in communicating effectively with individuals across all technical proficiency levels.
