Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Office 365 Engineer with a strong focus on messaging services to join our consultancy team, working closely with a leading global investment bank. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-scale messaging infrastructures, particularly within Microsoft Exchange and Teams environments.
In this role, you will be instrumental in transitioning regional offices and securities divisions to Microsoft 365, with a significant emphasis on Exchange Messaging Services and Mobile Device Management. You will also provide expert guidance on Microsoft Teams deployment, including video and voice integration, and ensure that all systems are compliant with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Messaging & Collaboration:
Design and implement a robust global Microsoft 365 deployment, with a primary focus on Exchange Messaging Services and Mobile Device Management.
Transition regional offices and securities divisions to M365, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of messaging services.
Deploy and configure Microsoft Teams, with a specific emphasis on video and voice capabilities, to enhance collaboration across the organization.
Infrastructure & Compliance:
Provide expert guidance on Azure-based infrastructure, with a focus on supporting a secure and compliant messaging environment.
Ensure that all messaging services meet existing regulatory requirements and eDiscovery standards.
Engineer Exchange 2016 deployment and manage the migration from Exchange 2010 to Office 365, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
Operational Support:
Act as the primary escalation point for messaging administrators, offering advanced troubleshooting and support.
Manage incident and problem resolution processes for messaging services, including detailed reporting.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for messaging infrastructure and associated services.
Strategic Development:
Develop technical roadmaps for messaging services, aligning them with business needs and future technology trends.
Provide strategic input to management on the direction of messaging and collaboration services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate effectively with management, business stakeholders, third-party vendors, and support teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications:
Expert in Microsoft Teams to Include Video and voice.
Knowledge of Enterprise Vault and Compliance Tooling
Engineering of Exchange 2016 deployment and migration from existing Exchange 2010 together with knowledge of Office 365
Design\Deploy and support existing messaging infrastructure to include
BYOD iPhone\IPAD\Blackberry\Exchange\Outlook\Compliance tool\Enterprise Vault (Multiple sites as part of Global Org).
Understanding of Lotus notes migration
Expert in AD \Federated services\Hybrid services
Ability to communicate effectively with a global org
Process design, documentation & scripting
Understanding of hardware design (SAN)
Solid experience of delivering new services into enterprise environment.
