Overview:
The role is for an engineer working in Messaging and Collaboration Operations. Reporting to the Messaging and Collaboration Global Lead, the main responsibilities are:
* Assisting with the build out of the new Exchange 2016 infrastructure to support the new business area.
o Configuring Exchange
o Configuring Enterprise Vault
* Migrating user mailboxes and archive date from old infra to new infra
* Supporting users post move

Job Overview:
* The operations function is responsible for implementing, supporting and upgrading all infrastructure components. The focus of this role will be
o Remediating any known issues with the Exchange 2016 environment prior to migration
o Assisting with the build / config of the new environment to support new business unit
o Full documentation of processes and build procedures
o Migrating user mailboxes
o Performing user support post migration, which could include on-call / out-of-hours support
o Running full test cycles post deployment
* The candidate must be a highly self motivated team player with good oral and written skills and confidence to present to management.
* The candidate should also have a good sense of discipline and time-management and work diligently.
* A flexible work ethic is required with the ability to form part of a multi-platform global support team.
3 Key Objectives critical to success of the role:
– Relevant industry experience in a similar role
– Proven experience in deploying / supporting multi-geo platforms and a solid understanding of change, incident management and compliance / regulatory reporting processes
– Ability to work unsupervised on a time-critical project in a hybrid work environment
Skills & Experience Required:
* Subject-matter expert knowledge on
o Exchange 2016
o Powershell and other scripting / automation technologies
* Extensive knowledge of product design and implementation in an Engineering environment.
* Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Teams
* Detailed knowledge of Exchange Online
* Advanced working knowledge of Veritas Enterprise Vault and Merge1
* Advanced Working knowledge of networking technologies
* Working knowledge of storage technologies
* Working knowledge of virtualization technologies.
* Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and other core infrastructure components (i.e.Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory enterprise design principles etc.)
* Strong oral and written communication as well as organizational skills
* A good awareness of audit, compliance, change control processes and procedures. Candidates will have spent a part of their career working in a mature organization with a well-developed audit control framework. (does not necessarily need to have been in the financial sector)
Skills & Experience Desirable:
* Testing automation
* Working knowledge of Enterprise monitoring systems
