IT QA Manager
A global leader is seeking an accomplished IT QA Manager to take the lead in overseeing and ensuring the quality and reliability of their software systems, applications, and technology platforms. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality solutions that meet regulatory and business requirements.
IT QA Manager Responsibilities:
Lead the effort to ensure the quality and reliability of the bank’s software systems, applications, and technology platforms.
Manage and provide guidance to a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of excellence in quality engineering.
Work closely with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
Drive the establishment and implementation of robust QA strategies and best practices to optimize the software development lifecycle.
Assume full assignment management responsibility of the QA team, ensuring effective resource allocation and task prioritisation.
IT QA Manager Skills and Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency in software testing techniques and testing tools.
Essential understanding of Investment Banking.
Proven ability to manage multiple IT Quality teams or an IT Quality functional area.
Extensive experience in defining and creating Test strategies, Test plans, and Test Scenarios/Scripts.
Profound expertise in Functional and automated testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, UDeploy, BitBucket) and experience in automation strategies.
Knowledge of industry-standard functional Test tools (e.g., JIRA) and a commitment to high development standards for code quality.
Ability to define Test Environment strategy and associated requirements.
Highly advantageous knowledge of Equities Derivatives financial products.
In-depth understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality and basic commercial awareness.
Experience in evaluating subordinates’ performance and making decisions on pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc.
Effective collaboration with local and global stakeholders to ensure project stability and productivity.
Experience in working with a global team.
Capability to develop and design standards and procedures, ensuring adherence throughout the software development life cycle.
Bachelor’s/University degree minimum Master’s degree preferred.
IT QA Manager Compensation: £560 – £610 per day Inside IR35
