Hays – DBA / Applicative Oracle Specialist
Hays Luxembourg is looking for a Specialist experienced with Oracle to ensure
Oversee the design, development, optimization, performance, support, and guidance for Oracle databases used in client’s internal applications and software packages.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Database Platform team and Development Teams (Data and Front-end) to create high-performance solutions as part of our Transformation Plan, including the transition to the T24 core banking system
Optimize SQL and database performance, and address issues promptly
Develop and maintain solutions created by the Database Team using PL/SQL and Python
Participate in the logical and physical design of databases alongside developers
Provide technical support for migrations to both application development and production teams, covering internal developments and software packages
Create and maintain documentation on design and security standards, including naming conventions and privilege setups
Enforce security rules for all Oracle Databases
Troubleshoot database, application, and development tool issues
Review physical design and SQL code regularly to ensure adherence to standards
Coordinate with the internal DBA Ops team responsible for database administration
Profile
Education: Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Language Skills: Fluent in both written and spoken French, with a strong command of English
Technical background:
Development Knowledge: Familiar with development techniques such as source management, continuous deployment, and automation
Experience: Several years managing Oracle databases
Skills: Proficient in Oracle Development (PL/SQL, SQL), Oracle RDBMS administration on Unix/Linux systems (Oracle 18+ versions), and database migrations across different environments (Linux, AIX)
Additional Skills: Experience with Exadata, DataGuard, Partitioning, Multitenant, and APEX is a plus
