Halian – System Engineer
The IT Application & EndPoint Management section within our client in Luxembourg is seeking an experienced System Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in system administration. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Microsoft operating systems and tools, enabling them to install, configure, and troubleshoot EndPoint devices independently while adhering to industry standards.
Key responsibilities
Prepare, validate, and install software on Windows endpoints.
Manage the OS lifecycle and update Windows PC images across the organization.
Deploy operating system upgrades on workstations.
Serve as the technical expert and reference point for Windows images and core applications.
Test software and driver compatibility with new Hardware.
Validate and approve key system components, including group policies and configuration changes.
Participate in OS patching and software updates across the workstation fleet.
Contribute to EndPoint security enhancements and improvements.
Act as a Level 3 support contact for Windows-related issues.
General skills & qualifications
5+ years of experience in large enterprise environments.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to integrate seamlessly into a team.
Self-sufficient and proactive in managing tasks.
Strong initiative and ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
Organized, detail-oriented, and structured in approach.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Awareness of critical financial environments, SLAs, and user service quality.
Ability to follow administrative procedures and organizational standards.
Experience in documentation writing and knowledge transfer.
Proficiency in French and English (Luxembourgish is a plus).
Required technical skills
Expert in Windows 10 enterprise environments:
Installation and customization (including unattended OS deployment with drivers).
Deep knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Windows Registry.
Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows OS.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
Strong expertise in MECM/SCCM for system deployment and management.
Familiarity with security-sensitive environments.
