Firewall Engineer

Missions & Responsibilities
Configuring, implementing, and maintaining Next Generation Firewalls to ensure security and availability.
Managing firewall policies, rulesets, and additional security capabilities.
Providing technical support to troubleshoot infrastructure and operational issues.
Collaborating with Cyber Security and Infrastructure Management teams.
Assisting in identifying and remediating security incidents.
Reviewing security documentation and providing technical recommendations.
Supporting planned maintenance activities and on-call duties as required.
Qualifications & Required Skills
5+ years of experience in firewall administration and security operations.
Expertise in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Palo Alto Networks Panorama.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, traffic analysis, LAN/WAN networking, and TCP/IP services.
Experience in firewall installation and management across multiple vendors.
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible) for automation.
Knowledge of Unix-based Operating Systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
NATO Cosmic Top Secret Clearance (mandatory).
Desirable:
Understanding of Information Security Practices (CIA triad).
Experience in international environments (military & civilian).
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, MCSE/S, CISA, GSNA, or SANS GIAC.
