The Group IT has recently introduced new profiles, namely UX researchers and UI designers, in the implementation of its products to shift from system centric towards user centric paradigm, manage uncertainties of new lines of business, deliver products reaching their target at a lower cost and ob-jectify successes of a product.

1 Service description

As a reference member, the customer is looking for an experienced UI Designer.
The energy market is evolving in both the production and consumption of energy. The ongoing electrification puts increasing demands on the energy system and infrastructure. The Group is antic-ipating the impact of this energy transition through a digital transformation. In the adoption of digi-tal technologies, the Group is digitizing processes for operators in the maintenance of their infra-structure. A good UX is crucial on these tools to guarantee the safety of people on the ground.
The Senior UI Designer takes on more complex design projects and plays a significant role in shap-ing the overall design strategy. Contributes and enriches the design system, reviews and validates new components, challenges the design of others, coaches junior UIs to grow in their skills.
In close collaboration with UX researcher, using the cusomer’s Figma design system, realize wireframes, prototypes and final UI Design
Present ideas, concepts and design solutions to various stakeholders
Communicate design ideas and prototypes to Product Owners, UX Designers and Developers
Prepare and animate ideation workshops and co-design with business, UX Designers and users
Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success via measurable criteria
Create storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Contribute to team efforts by actively participating in broader UX Chapter activities such as feed-back sharing sessions and knowledge sharing
2 Requirements
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in UI Design, Interaction Design and Information Architec-ture in an Agile development environment
• Strong understanding in UI Patterns, design principles and visual design
• Attention to details and works delivered in high standard
• Proficient in design software (Figma) as well as in Miro
• Use and contribute to the Elia Group design system
• Bachelor or Master´s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Present a compelling portfolio that showcases your design projects, emphasizing your prob-lem-solving abilities and the design process. Applications without a portfolio will not be tak-en into consideration.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS, with an understanding of how designs translate to code.

• Language skill: fluent in English and French. German and Dutch are a plus.

3 Additional information
– Start and duration 02.04.2024 till 28.02.2025 extension possible
– Volume Full time
– Work Location Brussels, Berlin; 2-3 days per week of homeworking.
