DevOps Specialist – GitLab SME
Contract – 12 Months
London – On site 3 days per week
£700 – £900 pd (Umbrella Rate)

Are you an experienced DevOps professional with a deep understanding of GitLab and its pipelines? Do you thrive in an environment where automation and efficient deployment processes are key? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a GitLab Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize your expertise in GitLab to design, implement, and maintain automated pipelines for deployment and testing.
Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of code into the pipelines.
Serve as the go-to person for all things related to GitLab pipelines and automation.
Play a pivotal role in optimizing our DevOps processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Provide guidance and support to teams on best practices for version control, code management, and pipeline execution.
Requirements:
Extensive experience working with GitLab pipelines or familiarity with GitHub
Strong background in DevOps practices and principles, with a track record of driving automation and streamlining processes.
Knowledge of Kubernetes or other containerization technologies as a user.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript for scripting and automation tasks.
Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot automated deployment processes.
Familiarity with Python programming is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
