Database Administrator
I’m looking for a Junior DBA for one of my clients, a financial services company that has been providing comprehensive fund administration and institutional services since its establishment in 1996 in Luxembourg. Theirrange of services has expanded far beyond fund administration, and They are now a market leader in providing tailor-made financial products and services.
In this position you will oversee managing our databases, ensuring availability, performance, and updates. You will provide our IT development, application management teams and external software providers with the required database support and technical experience.
Permanent contract
Salary range between 75 000€ and 80 000€
34.5 days off, meal vouchers, insurance and pension schemes
Offices located close to the central railway station
2 remote days per week
You will be required to:
Administrate Oracle, SQL Server and MongoDB databases
Manage backups and data replication and protection
Manage the different test and production environments
Monitor and improve database performance
Participate in various projects for database related aspects
Support the IT development and application management teams
Implement and optimize PL/SQL codes
Participate in production releases
Your profile:
Degree in Computer Science and have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
Good knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and proficient in shell scripting
knowledge of RMAN (backup, restore), Dataguard as well as SQL language and PL/SQL programming
Mastering database optimization techniques and the monitoring and exploitation tools (OEM and TOAD)
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Mongo or MS SQL as well as APEX and Perl will be considered an asset.
Fluent in French and English
