Data analyst – SQL Python M/F
Be at the center of the data analysis in a private bank in Luxembourg
We are looking for a Data analyst for one of our client.
Freelance contract or permanent contract via a payrolling company
Location : Kirchberg
Fluent in English
Strong SQL and Python skills
Context
You will be responsible for the rollout of data controls and quality metrics, giving you real ownership over the reliability and governance of the organisation’s most important data assets.
You will work in a role where precision, analytical discipline and structure are central, allowing you to fully leverage your attention to detail and elevate the organisation’s data maturity.
Responsibilities
You will raise awareness of our data strategy and frameworks, giving you the opportunity to influence how teams adopt better data behaviours across the business.
You will ensure the implementation of metrics for data controls, allowing you to see the direct impact of your work on data trustworthiness.
You will interpret data requirements and regulatory dimensions in banking, building expertise in a complex and highly valued regulatory environment.
You will design processes and systems that make data work more efficient, giving you the satisfaction of removing friction and improving daily operations.
You will apply your technical expertise to protect data accuracy and integrity, positioning yourself as a key reference for high‑quality data.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, enabling you to deepen your understanding of strategic needs while expanding your influence.
You will support initiatives on data integrity and normalization, allowing you to contribute to cleaner, more structured and more usable datasets.
You will manage POCs to support business case roll‑outs, giving you a central role in testing and validating new ideas before they scale.
You will evaluate changes in source production systems, helping you develop a comprehensive view of how upstream decisions shape downstream data quality.
You will work with programmers, engineers and value chain leads to identify improvement opportunities, putting you at the centre of continuous optimisation efforts.
You will contribute to projects that harmonise and secure accurate data mappings, giving you responsibility over foundational elements of the data ecosystem.
You will train users on data management and quality practices, strengthening your leadership by helping others adopt better data standards.
Your profile
Proven working experience as a data analyst or business analyst
Knowledge of data quality metrics, normalization technics, and how to assess data quality
Knowledge of implementation of metrics for data quality controls
Work with several stakeholders gathering information regarding data requirements, business definitions, data structures
Conduct data analysis supporting reconciliations and the evaluation of data quality
Assurance of data harmonization and accurateness of data mappings
BSc/BA diploma preferable in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or relevant field
Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyse data
Hands on experience with packages such as Dataiku to be used for data analysis
Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL and Python
Knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau
