Business Analyst – Regulatory & Transaction Reporting (MiFID II / EMIR / SFTR)
Business Analyst – Regulatory & Transaction Reporting
Location: Luxembourg
Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze business requirements; produce functional specifications.
Perform data mapping between internal systems and the SaaS platform.
Document interfaces and data flows (APIs, file exchanges, etc.).
Draft test cases and scenarios for UAT.
Provide UAT support: coordinate testing, track defects, validate fixes.
Collaborate with external providers to ensure timely delivery and quality.
Monitor compliance with regulatory reporting obligations (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR or similar).
Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years as a Business Analyst in financial or regulatory environments.
Strong knowledge of regulatory transaction reporting (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR).
Expertise in data mapping and integration flows.
Proven experience in writing functional and technical documentation.
Hands-on experience with test case design and UAT coordination.
Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.
Languages: Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
Technical Skills:
XML, VBA, SQL for data validation.
Familiarity with Transaction Reporting SaaS platforms (ideally S&P Cappitech).
Understanding of financial system architectures.
Soft Skills:
Detail-oriented and organized.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a project-driven environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
