Business Analyst – Faster Payments

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst – Payments for a 6 Month contract based in London/Machester/ Edinburgh or Remote.
Purpose of the Role:
Support the identification of solutions that deliver value to stakeholders and lead in the definition and realisation of solutions, processes, benefits, avoidance of cost, identification of new opportunities, understanding of required capabilities and modelling the organisation.

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for:
What you’ll do
In your role, you’ll be supporting the analysis of complex requirements, while capturing, validating and documenting business and system requirements and making sure that they are in line with key strategic principles. In the course of your work, we’ll also look to you to build, manage and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders and third party suppliers across multiple franchises and functions.
You’ll also:
Create and maintain documentation, as well as support controls and quality assurance for key stakeholders and suppliers (including gathering, analysing, and presenting facts and data accurately)
Identify and support cut-over and implementation tasks
Trace and link business requirements to future state design
Create and execute test scenarios and test scripts at various stages of the project in order to validate the solution design
Facilitate user acceptance testing and support business users in executing the user acceptance testing
What we require from the candidate:
You’ll need to hold an appropriate business analyst certification, such as BAX, CPRE and CBAP. Additionally, you’ll have a highly analytical mindset, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work.
You’ll also need:
Experience of applying business analysis tools and techniques
Agile methodology and delivery experience required
Business Analysis experience along with technical delivery experience, and proven planning skills
Banking experience essential
A background of delivering business analysis in a technology or IT function
Strong stakeholder management skills
Payment experience essential – SWIFT, CHAPS, SEPA, Faster Payments, ISO20022
Experience in any of the following would be preferred:
Annual payments standards updates and implementations
Implementation of new payments products or payments systems
Migration to ISO20022 standards
