Contract Type: Freelance/Consulting
We are seeking an Ansible Tower Expert to join our client team immediately for an infrastructure build and update project. The role focuses on automating and managing virtual server deployments using Ansible Tower, with the goal of enhancing operational efficiency, automating maintenance, and ensuring security based on predefined playbooks.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust automation solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze, evaluate, and operate Ansible playbooks to automate infrastructure management tasks.
Configure and manage Ansible Tower for orchestration of deployments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate automation solutions effectively.
Monitor and troubleshoot automated systems to ensure optimal performance.
Train and assist internal teams on Ansible Tower usage and best practices.
Create and manage projects, linking them to playbooks and ensuring synchronization.
Securely manage authentication within Ansible Tower.
Build and maintain an inventory of assets for automation tasks.
Test, validate, and plan automation tasks with the relevant teams.
Document each step of the automation processes comprehensively.
REQUIREMENTS
Technical Expertise:
Ansible & Ansible Tower: Proven expert-level experience in managing and automating deployments.
Automation: Advanced skills in designing and implementing automation solutions.
Linux: Extensive knowledge of Linux environments for infrastructure management.
Playbook Development: Proficiency in creating and troubleshooting Ansible playbooks.
Python & YAML: Strong scripting and configuration management skills.
Additional Skills:
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication skills to train and assist team members.
