ABAKUS IT-Solutions – Site Reliability Engineer
ABAKUS IT Solutions is looking for a passionate and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a dynamic team operating in the airspace industry. You will be involved in the management and continuous improvement of critical applications for a prestigious client.
Main responsibilities
Ensure the availability and performance of critical applications by collaborating with a dynamic team
Deploy and automate products across cloud and on-premises environments
Implement observability tools and predict or prevent anomalies using advanced techniques (ML, instrumentation)
Identify, analyze, and resolve incidents while proposing long-term solutions
Work on scalability, performance, availability, and security improvements of services
Collaborate with security experts, architects, and developers to ensure a sustainable technical environment
Continuously evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations on emerging trends and tools
Profile
Proactive mindset with a passion for automation
Ability to work in a team and independently
Strong stress management and analytical, structured approach during incident resolution
Strong professional ethics and respect for confidentiality
Required technical skills
Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
Good knowledge of SRE, DevOps, and DevSecOps principles
Good understanding of security principles
Technical environment
Kubernetes (AKS, OpenStack)
Linux administration (RedHat) and networking protocols
Automation and CI/CD (TerraForm, Ansible, Jenkins)
Scripting (Bash, Python)
Observability solutions (Elastic, Prometheus, Opentelemetry)
Cloud services (preferably Azure)
Databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
Web servers and proxies (NGINX, Squid)
Messaging and event systems (Solace, Kafka)
Agile management tools (Jira, ServiceNow)
IAM and secret management (Okta, HashiCorp Vault)
Additional assets:
Professional certification in related fields
Experience in application security (Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing)
