ABAKUS IT-Solutions – Back Office Engineer – Medior
ABAKUS IT Solutions is looking for a talented and experienced Back Office Engineer – Medior to support digital identity services. These services provide essential digital identity solutions to a wide range of users, including partner institutions and external users.
Main responsibilities
Provide operational support for Oracle Directory 11.1.1.7.0 and OpenLDAP servers, ensuring their proper functioning and availability.
Update and patch LDAP servers to newer versions.
Install and configure new servers, ensuring optimal configuration and good performance.
Develop and improve custom scripts (e.g., in Bash, KSH, Perl) to automate monitoring of LDAP servers.
Implement proactive monitoring mechanisms to detect and resolve potential issues before they affect users.
Administer Linux RedHat environments (versions 6.5 and 8) to support the underlying infrastructure.
Ensure the proper functioning of Oracle WebLogic and Tomcat servers.
Create and manage incidents, service requests, and information requests (RFI) from external partners.
Lead the change management process by creating and managing tickets, procedures, and documentation related to infrastructure modifications.
Maintain and update technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to ensure compliance and process consistency.
Work closely with different teams to assist in system reorganization activities (e.g., creation or deletion of entities, modification of entity names, etc.).
Provide technical support for new and existing Digital Identity and Signature services (e.g., EU Login, Ced, Provisioning Active Directory, etc.).
Required skills and knowledge
Minimum 6 years of experience in Unix/Oracle environments.
Significant experience with LDAP servers (Oracle Directory Server, OpenLDAP).
Strong understanding of Linux RedHat systems (versions 6.5, 8).
Proven experience with Oracle WebLogic and Tomcat servers.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, KSH, Perl.
Familiarity with integration tools like GIT, Bamboo, Nexus.
Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Punctual, meticulous, and reliable with a systematic approach to tasks.
Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and changing project requirements.
ITIL V3 Foundation certification.
Knowledge of Prince2 or PM² methodologies.
Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing systems.
Experience in change management and production release management.
User experience with SharePoint.
