ABAKUS IT-Solutions – Application Security Engineer
We are looking for an Application Security Engineer to join the Application Security & Vulnerability Management team. You will be responsible for enhancing application security, supporting secure development practices, and driving security innovation within the development squads.
Responsibilities
Set up application security tools and conduct code reviews (SAST).
Provide coaching and training on secure coding practices and SecDevOps principles.
Manage security infrastructure and compliance guidelines.
Lead security efforts in projects, resolving issues and improving security measures.
Assist developers in identifying and solving security vulnerabilities.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong background in software development and security tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, Docker).
Knowledge of SDLC, DevOps, and secure coding practices.
Interest in penetration testing and mobile app security.
Experience in application security and security incident management.
English proficiency required; Dutch/French is a plus.
Soft Skills
Excellent communicator and team player.
Analytical, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous learner.
