For our client we are looking for a Release Manager (f/m/d).

Capacity: 100% if possible
Location: Berlin / Remote (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times
Role:
– The Release Manager will orchestrate the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases for the clients hybrid cloud platform.
– This role ensures seamless deployments across on-premise and cloud environments, maintains high-quality standards to be achieved by autonomous teams, and fosters collaboration among crossfunctional teams.
– Working closely with the Operations team to transition the releases from the delivery teams into a ITIL managed production environment.
Profile Requirements:
The candidate should be experienced in release management, particularly in hybrid cloud environments, with proficiency in CI/CD tools, cloud platforms (GCP), and a strong understanding of automation and end-to-end deployment processes.
Skills (must-have):
– Project Management & Scheduling – Expertise in planning and coordinating complex, multi-team release schedules, using tools like Jira and Confluence, while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to milestones.
– Change Management – Strong understanding of change control processes, ensuring smooth integration of changes into the release cycle while managing risks and minimizing disruptions.
– Cross-Functional Team Coordination – Proven ability to collaborate across development, QA, operations, and business teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the release process.
– Risk & Issue Management – Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, with the ability to coordinate the implementation and execution of contingency plans such as rollback procedures when necessary.
– fluent English in speech and writing
Skills (should-have):
– Hybrid Cloud Expertise – Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments, including public and private cloud platforms and on-premise infrastructure.
– CI/CD Pipeline Management – Understanding of designing and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
– Developer Experience – Knowledge of what it takes to make developers more productive by optimizing their tools and processes.
