For our client we are looking for a Product Owner (f/m/d) for IAM Product Line

Frame data:
Start: November 2024
Duration: 31.03.25 ++ (long term)
Capacity: 100% if possible
Location: Berlin / Remote (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times

Role:
– As a Product Owner (PO) you will be responsible for defining and evolving the vision, roadmap and feature set and capabilities of a variety of products whose collective goal is to enable other platform teams and tenants to build and operate cloud-native applications efficiently and securely by integrating them against the provided IAM services.
– Those services enable other teams to register their services with IAM and thus, offer authorization, authentication and SSO capabilities via various protocols (OIDC,SAML, oauth2).
– This also includes secrets management in a cloud native devops environment.
– The responsibility of providing the service spans from bringing up own infrastructure (k8s), the full deployment (CI/CD) of the IAM solution (Keycloak) and secrets manager (Vault), their configuration and integration against other tools and services as clients as well as identity providers.
– Experience around managed cloud IAM solutions is less relevant than
with self hosted cloud native solutions.
– In this role you will interact with a number of stakeholders, namely Platform Product Managers and product owners of other teams to ensure that the vision and direction of your products are in alignment with overall Platform goals and direction, IAM architects, delivery and operations leads as well as engineers to provide them with direction and guidance on “What” to build, in what priority and customer stakeholders and Customer Success Lead to understand customer needs and corresponding business values.

Skills (must-have):
– A minimum experience of 4 years as a Product Owner/Product Manager in delivering an enterprise IAM service (e.g. based on Keycloak) to customers (internal or external to your organization) for developing and operating cloud-native apps.
– Demonstrable experience in creating a clear product vision and strategy and associated product management artifacts (Roadmap, Product Specifications, Feature Backlogs, Product Descriptions etc.) in the voice of users/customers which are aligned to that strategy
– Expertise in effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders
– Deep familiarity of Public Cloud (any of AWS, GCP, Azure) service offerings, especially those related to:
– Kubernetes, Identity and Access management and Resource Management
– Deep Functional understanding of Authentication/Authorization (Passwords, MFA) and their implementation as well as authorization models (RBAC;ABAC) including scenarios for applying them
– Profound understanding of identity lifecycle management (provisioning and deprovisioning of users and access rights, identity synchronization and federation across systems and directories)
– Experience with federated identity management concepts and protocols (SAML, OIDC)
– Familiarity with identity governance concepts like access requests, approval workflows, recertification as well as self-service capabilities and automated onboarding/offboarding procedures
– Project experience with implementing or product mangement for services for PKI / certificate management and Secrets Management (e.g. Vault)
– Excellent written and spoken English skills (at least C1)

Skills (should-have):
– Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, SAFE, JIRA, Confluence).
– Past experience as a developer or in ops team with responsibility for identity and access management integrations
– Experience working with Jira and Wiki Tools like Confluence
– Experience with or strong understanding of Non-human/Machine Identity Management concepts, e.g. service accounts, SPIFFE, and workload identity federation in cloud environments
– Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC2, NIS2, KRITIS)
– Optional: Fluent German in speech and writing (at least B2)
