Automation Engineer
Join our team in Strasbourg as an Automation Engineer and take part in dynamic projects where your expertise will directly impact the automation of complex systems and networks!
Key responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automation tools to streamline system, network, and storage operations.
Automate recurring maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance.
Keep automation tools aligned with the latest infrastructure deployments.
Participate in special projects, collaborating closely with architects, service delivery managers, and project managers.
Main duties:
Develop and maintain automation toolchains for EES WS and NUI.
Create and deliver Ansible modules, Python scripts, and other infrastructure configurations.
Actively contribute to design meetings and ensure automation is at the forefront of infrastructure solutions.
Support knowledge transfer sessions and provide inputs for troubleshooting automation issues.
Requirements:
Professional experience: Minimum of 5 years in ICT roles, with at least 2 years focused on automation (e.g., DevOps, SRE).
Technical skills:
Proficient in Ansible, Python, and Linux Shell scripting.
Administrator-level expertise in storage (HPE, Ceph), virtualization (VMware), and operating systems (RHEL, MS Windows).
Familiarity with physical infrastructure (HPE iLO) and networking (Cisco ACI, firewalls, load balancing).
Hands-on experience with Ansible Tower, Git, and test-driven development.
Knowledge of ITIL V3 principles.
Personal traits: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, ability to work in complex environments, and excellent communication and writing skills.
Languages: Proficient in English (CEFRL Level C1 or higher).
Additional requirements:
EU Citizenship.
Security Clearance required.
Working conditions:
Location: Onsite work at the client’s office in Strasbourg (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility for overtime.
Education:
Bachelor’s or University degree in IT or equivalent experience.
