Frontend Developer
We are currently looking for a “Frontend Developer” to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining prototypes for applications that use large language models (LLMs), ensuring they function effectively and meet technical requirements. Responsibilities include deploying applications in cloud environments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring security and data protection.
Responsabilities:
Design specific logic, workflow and architecture for LLM-based application prototypes, for specific use cases that involve handling various inputs to generate different types of text output with LLMs (e.g. summarisation, policy briefings, replies, reports)
Development and maintenance of LLM-based application prototypes using in particular third party proprietary LLMs in Azure OpenAI or locally run models from HuggingFace
Development and maintenance of vector databases to use for retrieval augmented generation (RAG) in LLM-based application prototypes
Design and deployment of LLM-based application prototypes in a cloud environment, i.e. Azure
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
Writing technical documentation
Technology watch
Participation in coordination, project and operational meetings, along with occasional meetings with user
Technical skills:
Good knowledge of LLM and the logic, workflow and architecture of applications based on large language models
Proficiency with fundamental languages for LLM-based application development, such as JavaScript and Python
Good knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js and Angular
Good knowledge of fundamental front-end languages technologies such as HTML and CSS
Proficiency with using cloud services such as Azure OpenAI, and deploying and maintaining application prototypes in a cloud environment, particularly Azure
Good knowledge of vectorisation and embeddings and working with vectorstores and vector databases
Good knowledge of using techniques such as vectorisation, chunking, semantic similarity and search, and ranking for retrieval augmented generation in LLM-based applications
Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns.
Good knowledge of application design.
Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and quickly
Profile:
Bachelor degree in IT
Proficient with Typescript, JavaScript, Node.JS, Angular, …
Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to apply high quality standards
Analysis and problem solving skills
Ability to write clear and structured technical documents
Familiarity with LLM-specific frameworks such as LangChain and LLamaindex would be an asset.
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in Cloud computing, application architecture and distributed systems
