IP Network Designer
Your role will be critical in delivering exceptional customer experiences through robust network designs that prioritise cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. You will work on a wide array of IP/MPLS networking projects, from maintaining network capacity to integrating new services and supporting service migrations onto the new MPLS Core. Your designs will ensure the network infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance, security and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Network Performance Monitoring: Continuously assess the core network’s performance against KPIs and develop technical plans to address any challenges.
Vendor Collaboration: Evaluate vendor software releases and security advisories, interacting with suppliers to resolve design and operational issues.
Routing Design: Develop and implement routing designs for the mobile MPLS core to meet agreed service and resilience targets.
Service Migrations: Design and support service migrations from the existing MPLS core to the new Juniper MPLS core.
Documentation: Produce and peer-review design documents, test cases, and implementation plans to ensure alignment with architecture, legal, regulatory, and security requirements.
Key Skills/Experience:
Cisco Certification (CCIE) & Juniper Certification (JNCIE, JNCIP, JNCIS, JNCDS)
Extensive experience in IP, MPLS, and BGP network design in a service provider environment
Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper Core networking technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts
Additional Information:
Initial 3 month contract to start as soon as possible, daily rate inside IR35.
Remote working, with the ability to travel to the various UK offices infrequently.
