Senior Lead Solution Enterprise Architect with Investment Management -London 12 mth FTC

In this role you will architect solutions to business problems across the whole breadth of our Front Office, in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. You will perform technical planning, architectural development, develop specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings. Role summary and job responsibilities: 
Design and Architect Front Office shared platform, supporting Asset Management target state solutions.
Understanding and advocating Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles and articulating value proposition of architecture to technology partners
Define, manage, and implement architectural processes and artifacts for the department
Review key design decisions with departmental engineering leads and review boards
Ensure decisions around architecture are made and deviations from standards are properly identified, addressed, and communicated.
Participate and lead reviews of in-flight initiatives. Works closely with technical leads of projects, contributing solutions to the most challenging problems, including hands-on engineering as needed.
Ensure that all solution architecture artifacts and changes are documented as per process standards
Coordinate with other enterprise architects as necessary for solution architecture
Balance tactical vs. strategic trade-offs when making decisions or proposing solutions
Be flexible and pragmatic in your thinking
Required Experience:
Knowledge of Portfolio Management or Research within Asset Management  
Architecture Strategy and roadmap definition
Engineering and practical mindset for solving problems
Vendor product evaluations & recommendations
Understanding of common architecture frameworks and models
Business and technology stakeholders’ communication
Understanding of and experience with cloud-first application development (ideally to include AWS)
