About:
Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Planning Manager to lead the uplift and expansion of their operational resilience program to a global scale. This is a critical contract role designed for a professional who excels in guiding and enhancing resilience frameworks, particularly within the complex landscape of financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Global Resilience Program Uplift: Spearhead the transition of our client’s operational resilience program to a global framework. This includes reviewing, enhancing, and aligning existing policies, procedures, and plans to meet international operational resilience standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in Third Party Risk, Cyber & Information Security, IT, and Disaster Recovery to ensure a cohesive and robust approach to the firm’s resilience and risk management posture.
• Business Continuity Artifacts Development: Continue to develop, mature, and deliver essential Business Continuity artifacts, such as Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP), across all regions and business units.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders across various departments and global regions to gather insights, provide expert guidance, and foster a culture of collaboration. Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with global standards.
• Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures addressing operational resilience risks on a global scale. Ensure these are effectively communicated and understood organization-wide.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the firm’s Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management programs align with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and other relevant global regulatory requirements.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports and documentation to track program progress for audits, governance, and oversight committees.
Required Capabilities:
• In-depth understanding of Operational Resilience (OpRes) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks, with a strong grasp of global regulations such as the Central Bank of Ireland’s Operational Resilience Guidelines, DORA, MAS BCM Guidelines, and APRA Prudential Standard CPS 230.
• Proven experience in managing and implementing OpRes and BCM programs within the financial services or asset management sectors; applicants with experience delivering on a global-scale will be greatly favoured in their submission for this role.
• Knowledge of global OpRes and BCM best practices and standards.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive, self-sufficient approach with the ability to drive initiatives forward independently.
