Senior System Network Engineer
General Objective
As a Senior System & Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our information systems that support core organizational functions. This involves monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing all networked and associated operating systems including backup. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to staying current with industry advancements.
Your mission
Install, administer, and maintain services, servers and systems in operational condition (Windows, Linux, AD/AAD, MS Exchange Online, etc.)
Actively participate in the installation, administration, and maintenance of network components (« On premise » + « Azure Cloud »)
Provide support and incident resolution (Levels 2 and 3)
Ensure proper documentation of the information system (diagrams, technical operation manuals, procedures, runbooks, etc.)
Key player in projects
Drives innovative thinking and solutions
Communicates new concepts, techniques and best practices within the organization with consistent, maintainable, flexible, and cost effective solutions
Collaborates with other engineers to maintain and evolve solutions in the Cloud or On-Premise in a continuous improvement manner
Administrates his technical environment (Backup, LAN, WAN, Network and server hardware, etc.)
Manages on all administration tasks in his technical environment (migration, deployment, rollout, etc.)
Ensures proper documentation of the information system (diagrams, technical operation files, procedures, processes, runbooks, etc.)
Contributes to monitoring and identifying IT department risks and security issues related to its infrastructure
Ensures knowledge transfer for business continuity and within the support team
Ensures ticket follow-up with team and users
Ensuring infrastructure availability through periodical on-call duty shifts
Your profile
University degree in ICT – BAC +3 minimum
Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in the indicated fields.
Hard Skills
Advanced knowledge in system administration; operating systems: Linux (RedHat, CentOS and Ubuntu) and Windows
Strong understanding of cloud-oriented and on-premise technical architectures (others like Amazon or Google is appreciated)
Knowledge of virtualized environments (VMware)
Practical and concrete knowledge of backup or network level (FortiGate Firewalls, Cisco ASA, F5, CheckPoint, CommVault, etc.)
Knowledge of switch management is useful and desired such as Alcatel
Knowledge of messaging systems required: Exchange/Exchange Online + general knowledge in antispam and messaging security
Knowledge of cloud-related technologies and containerization (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)
Knowledge of scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python (other languages as an asset)
Knowledge of Terraform is considered an asset (DevOps as a plus)
Extensive skills in Intune and Autopilot
Concrete experience in Microsoft AD and AAD
Experience with Azure monitoring tools
