You MUST have the following:
Strong experience as a Business Analyst/Product Owner/Product Manager
A good understanding of fixed income- corporate and government bonds and loans (credit/rates)
Experience delivering data feed implementations and changes within front or middle offices
Familiarity with buy-side fixed income products such as POINT, PORT, BI-SAM or Aladdin
Excellent ability to work with stakeholders from the business and technology
Ability to write basic scripts in SQL

Role: Business Analyst/Product Manager (Product Owner Product Manager Business Analyst Buy Side Buy-Side Trading Applications Front Office Equity Equities FX Fixed Income Bonds Rates Agile Derivatives AI Machine Learning Finance Asset Manager Investment Management Hedge Fund Investment Banking Data Feeds SQL Python Agile POINT PORT BI-SAM Aladdin) required by our asset management client in London. You will be working as the sole Business Analyst/Product Manager alongside an engineering team of 6 that is responsible for the ingestion of data into the fixed income technology department and then also out again to other internal areas and external 3rd parties. Currently, the responsibilities of this role are fulfilled by the manager and some of the lead engineers. You will be hired to carry out analysis of the team’s function- the sources and destinations of data- and then the generation of a road map and target state for the area, working significantly with data from Bloomberg PORT. It will mean working with senior members of fixed income portfolio management, engineering managers within fixed income, engineering managers from other key front office areas, and third-party providers. You will need to come from front office trading with fixed income knowledge on the buy-side. Further, some Python scripting ability would be very advantageous.
The team has all their technology on AWS and is very modern and up to date, like a FinTech start up; investment in technology is high. Machine learning and AI are also being introduced across front office technology.
The official title for the role will be Business Analyst but the company is very Agile and this will be more of a product owner/manager role. You will be asked to foresee future challenges and requests with the data and integrate solutions into your roadmaps so that they’re resolved before they become pressing and urgent.
