Why are we having this role:
As Part of Journey to cloud, we are in the process of reviewing all the existing on-prem applications, to define the best route forward, this can be (1) decommission – the app is no longer needed; (2) the app can move to the cloud immediately; (3) it can move to the cloud at a later date and (4) it has to remain on-prem.
What is the job:
For each application, we interview the application owners to answer a set of standard questions which enable us to analyse the use case to determine the most appropriate platform.
Having completed the user interview, the data is presented in a common format with a decision on destination and a justification for that decision. This is then shared with the R&D architects for review and approval (Q&A may be required).
What skills are we looking for:
• Experience in analysis of the applications.
o Understanding the current technical architecture of the application
o Clearly documenting the application use and data flow pattern and requirements in terms of availability, latency, and security.
o Defining the impact to the business should the application be down.
• Engage with the business users, Architect , technical team, and stakeholders and gather the above information.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-national / multi-cultural environment.
• Prior experience/understanding of Pharma/Life science applications (preferred, not essential).
