They’ve already connected millions of people to their favorite songs and podcasts, and created a service that people use to discover and share the content they love.They launched Audiobooks in Premium last autumn and are now growing their world-class Audiobook editorial team, looking for an individual who can connect amazing stories with the just right moods, moments and genres to listeners who will love them. The team is seeking a Junior Editor to join their Audiobooks team to support editorial collections, including merchandising, search optimization, and programming, as well as collaboration with cross-functional teams to help support marketing campaigns and celebrate unique cultural moments.The right candidate has experience with merchandising digital content, has an understanding of the book publishing industry, is passionate about books and/or audiobooks, is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is able to work effectively with a variety of teams and partners. What You’ll Do: • Support ongoing editorial updates, hypotheses, and playlists • Support programming of editorial content on platform • Collaborate on and implement editorial recommendations based on a clear understanding of data and business goals to attract new and diverse audiences • Use research, cultural insights, and data analytics to continually enhance and elevate the right editorial lens for our audiobooks platform • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends • Support day-to-day relationships with UK / IE and AU / NZ publishing houses What You’ll Bring: • You have 2+ years of experience editing, curating, or merchandising content at a digital first platform or a publishing house. • You are a strong communicator and are able to work with cross-functional teams. • You are comfortable using quantitative and qualitative data to make informed decisions. • You have a deep understanding of the publishing industry. • You bring the ability to balance commercial recommendations with diverse publishing. • You have a keen sense of what makes titles appropriate for different situations, and an ability to quickly identify authors, series and titles to recommend. • You are passionate about the evolution of audio and enjoy consuming spoken word content.
