Role: SRE Engineer

Rate: Up to 630pd via Umbrella
Duration: 12 months initially

Location and working policy: Glasgow, 2/3 days per week in office

Requirements: SRE, Automation, Observability (Prometheus, Grafana), Alerting, Ansible, Terraform
A bank are looking for a contract SRE Engineer via an Umbrella company to work on an programme which will see you focus on automation and create the observability and alerting solutions.
You’ll primarily be responsible for performing engineering level deep dives into incidents to understand how reliability can be improved.
Requirements
Excellent scripting skills, Python preferred
Excellent experience with Ansible and Terraform
Experience with a modern observability stack, Prometheus/Grafana preferred
Nice to have – not essential
Backup, data protection data deduplication, sysadmin, storage (SAN/NAS etc) or Kubernetes/OpenShift
