Finance Project Manager Payments

My client, a leading payments business requires an experienced Finance Project Manager within payments / FS (with data) sector to be engaged on a Finance / Accounting project for the built out of a new UK entity due to Brexit. The Project Manager will be responsible for providing expert finance and data expertise to drive and manage the delivery of a card payment technical accounting project. The role would be to support the programme manager and CFO with reconciliation and accounting flows for acquiring clients and the coordination of payments to UK clients.
Working directly with the Programme Manager you will be responsible for leading Project Management activities on the programme. The role would be remote working with occasional travel to the UK office.
Skills Required:
10 years+ Project Management experience on finance process / technical accounting transformation projects within a payments / banking environment.
Ideally an accounting qualification and experience of FCA regulators.
Hands on experience of data.
Understanding and proven experience of Programme and Project Management methodologies, including planning and tracking.
Excellent understanding of risk, issues, and dependency tracking.
Pro-active and positive attitude to planning and engagement, working across teams and functions.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
UK, WFH with occasional travel to office.
Start date: December 2023 /January 2024.
