We are expanding our Embedded Software Team to meet the ambitions we have to grow our business and to stay on the forefront of technology.

Put your mark on the entire Nilfisk Product Portfolio

The Embedded Software Solutions department delivers embedded SW for machine control, wireless connectivity, and user interfaces to the entire Nilfisk Product portfolio. We are working with a strong focus on modularity and reuse of components, and you will be an important part in securing that we bring our technologies all the way into the products, handling the testing and release flows of the projects.

You will work across the entire portfolio of modules and applications, often in cooperation with other departments such as Nilfisk embedded HW department and Nilfisk R&D Competence centers overseas in China and US. There might be limited travel to these sites.

Your main responsibility will be to understand and develop on our wireless connectivity, Bluetooth. You will be the main expert within this area, have a great impact and influence on how Nilfisk should continue to develop on the wireless connectivity.

Main areas of responsibilities:
• Software development in alignment with the strategy for the SW Platform
• Deliver technical solutions across the organization to the entire portfolio of Nilfisk products.
• Ensure software integration and validation.

The team

You will be working with an expanding team of currently 13 highly skilled embedded SW Engineers based in Hadsund. We have an informal and supporting culture where we through collaboration and cooperation find optimal solutions for the challenges we encounter. We are working in an agile setup with our other Nilfisk Competence centers, supporting basically all Nilfisk Product development – and Technology projects around the globe.

You will be reporting to the manager of the Embedded Software Solutions department in Hadsund, Thomas Brøndum. In order to get to know our machines, you will be based in the main Nilfisk R&D center in Hadsund – however there is flexibility to work from home as we value work-life balance.

Software developer with an interest in wireless communication

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you are a software developer with experience within Bluetooth LE protocol or similar wireless communication technologies.

Furthermore, you have experience within low level embedded C and/or C++ programming and ARM microcontrollers. It is a great advantage if you have experience with application development.

As a person you are self-driven and you enjoy freedom with responsibility. You enjoy working as a part of a team and you have a holistic view and approach to your tasks with the ability to deep-dive into your assignments and a will to carry through and get things done.

You approach problem solving analytically – as you know in software there will be bugs and you will find them thanks to your analytical approach. You plan your tasks and work in a structured way ensuring that your assignments will be completed on time, while honouring our commitments to stakeholders.

What happens with your application?

We will look at your application and contact you for a phone interview if relevant. Hereafter, if there is a mutual match, we will invite you to an interview with the hiring manager. The 2nd interview will include a personality assessment and aptitude test feedback session together with the hiring manager and an HR representative. A 3rd and final interview will be with the VP of R&D.
