Fixed Term Contract Position – Metadata Manager
My Client, a property business in London is recruiting for a Metadata Manager for an 18 month fixed term contract with potential to extend or become permanent.
Location: Remote
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
Length of Contract: 18 months
The Metadata Manager will:
Lead on them organisation’s metadata and data lineage strategy
Support the implementation of the data lineage strategy
Development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Glossary
Be responsible for relevant cataloguing, discovery and metadata projects
Ensure data is fully documented and referenced in line with agreed processes and formats.
Develop Data Glossaries for key business processes/capabilities
Create Data Flow and Data Mapping diagrams for specific processes/capabilities
Create Data Lineage diagrams for specific processes/capabilities
The Metadata Manager will have:
Knowledge and experience of a range of current and emerging metadata standards
Working with data mapping and transformations
Experience eliciting and capturing data flows and data lineage.
Practical experience as a Metadata Manager
Knowledge of data management and data governance processes
Experience with data modelling, relational databases and writing SQL queries (not essential)
