Microsoft Windows and Mainframe Expert

Description de la mission

We are searching for a Microsoft Windows Mainframe Expert for our client in insurance. 

IT transformation program where business applications hosted on Mainframe will be migrated to a Windows solution stack with Micro Focus products for the development maintenance and execution of the migrated applications.

-Experince with using ITIL processes

Expert on the Windows server platform (2019)

Good knowledge of the IBM Mainfraime world

(IMS TM, Batch engine, Catalog, …)

Knowledge of AD / ADLDS / LDAP

Familiar with JCL and Batch processes

Knowledge of windows scripting (Powershel)

Familiar with High availability systems

Preferable : 

Knowledge of load balancer & Firewall 

Knowledge of Micro Focus Enterprise Server as solution on the windows platform 

Development skils in Cobol 

You will be responsible for the Micro Focus Enterprise Server solution to support the transformation program.

Main activities / responsibilities:

You deploy the solution on the platform and prepare the handover to operational team.

You learn and progressively understand and challenge the MicroFocus Enterprise Server (mainframe emulator) implementation as proposed by the provider from the architecture to the detail design and implementation.

You review and comment the technical documentation

You fully support the run of the platform in project mode and you ensure the availability.

You deploy across environements the update epackages delivered by the Replatforming provider and you propose autopation where possible.

You are responsible for Life Cycle Management (definition, management and execution) of MFES and satellite components.

You document the solutions implemented

You ensure we meet operational requirements :

You ensure the availability runtime environment

You determine, document and handover operational procedures o You intervene in problem solving

You define and support the ITIL processes
