Application Cloud Architect
We are currently looking for a « Application Cloud Architect » to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.
Responsibilities:
Design and Development of architecture components and building blocks.
Review of the architecture of existing systems to identify opportunities for optimization and migration to Cloud-Based Infrastructure.
Draft documentation such as architecture design descriptions, assessment reports and configuration descriptions.
Collaborate with project leaders, business analysts, customers, users, and developers to ensure successful delivery of the established objectives.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
A minimum educational corresponds to a Master degree of 5 years in Engineering or IT.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Excellent knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns
Excellent knowledge of microservices, architecture in cloud and serverless programming
Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks
Very good knowledge of RDBMS and SQL
Very good knowledge of analyses and application/data modelling
Good knowledge of front-end development
Good knowledge of continuous delivery and Application Lifecycle Management tools (JIRA, Git, Bamboo, Nexus) etc.
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design.
Analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to solve problems efficiently and fast
Ability to give technical presentations.
Ability to apply high quality standards.
Ability to apply high quality standards
Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
Excellent Team Player
Ability to understand, speak and write English C1;
High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in DG FISMA Unit 01 contain personal and confidential data.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
At least 6 years of relevant experience in design and development of solutions based on Java, Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
At least 2 years of relevant experience in back-end data-base development using Oracle and PL/SQL or PostgreSQL
At least 1 years of relevant experience with front-end development using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
At least 1 years of relevant experience with major containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and/or public cloud platforms (e.g AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or others).
At least 1 years of relevant experience with modelling tools as for example Enterprise Architect
Following expertise will be considered an asset:
At least 2 years of relevant experience with the reusable solutions and building blocks of the Commission (e.g. eUI, EU Access, e-Delivery).
Relevant experience in AI tools integration
Knowledge of analytics tools e.g. Apache Spark, Power BI, Qlik, Knime,
Knowledge of Phyton
CERTIFICATIONS
Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification,
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect., Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
