Job description
To reinforce our teams, we are looking for a DB Mainframe speaking French and English.
Your main responsibilities:
Backup and recovery processes and tools
Experience with troubleshooting database performance issues and query tuning concepts.
Perform data management tasks as required: loading / unloading, updating, restoring and removing data to ensure that the database is accurate as a data source
Perform Database Maintenance activities like Adhoc Reorgs, Runstats etc on demand from the application teams, as well as monitor the scheduled maintenance activities
Monitor and manage Space: Purge obsolete data and reclaim space
Archiving and Purging for huge application tables
Identify and troubleshoot databases issues with high priority
Monitor database backups and Database maintenance jobs. Troubleshoot job failures and work with Operations as required
Refresh Dev/Test databases with prod backup images as requested
Motivate to learn and participate with the team on Datacom subjects. Knowledge datacom is an asset
Adept with JCL coding
Your profile:
You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position
Fluent in French and English
Technical Skills
TSO/ISPF knowledge
Database knowledge (logical and physical design)
Good understanding of COBOL-DB2 programming and debugging skills
Basic IBM Utilities (LOAD, UNLOAD, REORG, RUNTATS etc)
DB2 Tools knowledge [CA Platinum tools, Data Propagator]
Soft Skills
Stress resistance
Can work during weekend (overtime).
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are needed
